Mr. Samuel Aning

Consultant and Facilitator

Samuel Aning, a Ghanaian citizen has had significant public and private sector management experience primarily in Ghana.  He worked in the office of the President as Policy Advisor in the Policy Coordination, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit (PCMEU).  During the period when he served there, Sam provided policy advice on the basis of M&E feedback and analysis to guide the policy and decision-making processes at the presidency. Following his work in the presidency, Sam worked in academia and taught M&E, Contemporary Issues, Ethics and Entrepreneurship.  Besides the above, Sam has provided advisory services as a management consultant and in private business.   Sam has provided research, review and advisory services in recent times to the Centre for Intelligence and Security Analysis where he serves as a Fellow.

More recently, Sam has taken on roles as an Adjunct lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), where he teaches on the Postgraduate Programme in Monitoring and Evaluation.  Sam made significant inputs to Public Sector Reforms, especially diagnostic studies and made recommendations for commercializing the operations of key public sector institutions in the early to mid 2000s.

Sam was educated at Mfantsipim School, UST and the London School of Economics.  He has excellent writing skills and proficiency in word, excel and powerpoint packages. He has had experiences from countries in Europe, America, Asia and Africa.
