Dr. Isaac Boamah, PhD, FWAPCMLS

Dr. Isaac Boamah is an accomplished microbiologist and public health scholar with extensive experience in diagnostic virology, biomedical research, and academic instruction. He currently serves as a Research Scientist and Mentor at the Metropolitan Research & Education Bureau, Adjunct Lecturer at School of Public Governance and Service (GIMPA) and as an Assistant Lecturer at Baldwin University College, Accra, Ghana.

He earned his PhD in Public Health from LIUTEBM University and an MPhil in Microbiology from the University of Ghana. Dr. Boamah is a Fellow of the West African Postgraduate College of Medical Laboratory Science and holds additional certifications in laboratory management and global health project administration.

His research interests encompass viral hepatitis epidemiology, emerging infectious diseases, and laboratory quality systems. He has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to collaborative studies on HIV co-infections, pharmacokinetics in infectious disease management, and molecular diagnostics.

Teaching and Mentorship:
Dr. Boamah has over two decades of experience in academic instruction and laboratory training. He has taught courses in microbiology and virology to undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University of Ghana Medical School and Baldwin University College. His responsibilities have included laboratory demonstrations, supervision of research projects, and curriculum development. He has mentored numerous students and junior researchers, guiding them in experimental design, data analysis, and scientific writing. Additionally, he has organized specialized training programs on molecular diagnostics, biosafety, and laboratory quality control for healthcare professionals and technical staff.
