Professional Profile – Emmanuel Numapau Gyamfi
Emmanuel is an Associate Professor of Applied Statistics at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) where he has been teaching and mentoring students from the undergraduate level through to the doctoral level in Applied Statistics and Finance related courses for the past 15 years.
Emmanuel has consulted on a number of projects including; an Evaluation Study of the Work of Ghana Union of Traders Associations (GUTA) – Brong Ahafo Region Branch Commissioned by KONRAD ADENAUER STIFTUNG (KAS), Ghana Office, development of a five Year Strategic Plan for African Non-Communicable Diseases Network (ANN), a Feasibility Study for Cashew Processing Plant in Nigeria for GOAE Trading Limited/ Go Africa LLC.
He is an external examiner to many Universities worldwide and a reviewer to some reputable and recognized journals in the areas of Statistics and Finance.
He is a member of the South African Statistical Association (SASA), Ghana Statistical Association (GSA), African Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (AFAERE) and a Research Fellow at the Environment and Natural Resource Research Initiative (ENRRI), EfD Ghana.
Emmanuel holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Mathematics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana, a Postgraduate Diploma in Mathematical Sciences from Stellenbosch University in South Africa, a Master of Science degree in Statistics from the University of Warwick in the UK and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Statistics from the University of Venda in South Africa.
